1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Great Oak Roofing website, requesting our services, or engaging in any business transaction with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services or website.

2. Description of Services

Great Oak Roofing provides residential and commercial roofing, siding, window, door, and gutter installation and repair services in Anne Arundel County and surrounding areas in Maryland. Our services include, but are not limited to:

  • Roof installation, replacement, and repair
  • Siding installation and replacement
  • Window and door installation
  • Gutter installation, repair, and cleaning
  • Storm damage assessment and repair
  • Free estimates and consultations

3. Estimates and Pricing

All estimates provided by Great Oak Roofing are free of charge and valid for 30 days from the date of issue, unless otherwise specified. Estimates are based on information provided by the customer and visual inspection of the property. Final pricing may change if:

  • Additional damage or issues are discovered during the work process
  • The scope of work changes or additional services are requested
  • Material costs increase significantly between estimate date and project start

Any changes to the estimated price will be communicated to the customer and approved before additional work is performed.

4. Payment Terms

Payment terms for our services are as follows:

  • Progress payments may be required for larger projects
  • Final payment is due upon completion of the work and final inspection
  • We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards
  • Financing options are available for qualified customers

Past due accounts may be subject to a 1.5% monthly interest charge (18% annually) on the unpaid balance.

5. Customer Responsibilities

To facilitate the timely and efficient completion of your project, we ask that customers:

  • Provide accurate information about the property and any existing issues
  • Ensure reasonable access to the work areas
  • Remove or secure valuable items from the work area
  • Secure pets away from the work area
  • Make decisions on materials and options in a timely manner
  • Be available for inspections and questions during the project

6. Limitation of Liability

Great Oak Roofing's liability is limited to the cost of the services provided. We are not responsible for:

  • Damage to the property not directly caused by our work
  • Pre-existing code violations or structural issues
  • Consequential or incidental damages resulting from leaks or other issues
  • Delays caused by weather, material availability, or other factors beyond our control

7. Insurance and Licensing

Great Oak Roofing is fully licensed (MHIC #119476) and insured, carrying general liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage. Proof of insurance is available upon request.

8. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, Great Oak Roofing and the customer agree to attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland.

Our website is provided for informational purposes only. We make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of the information presented, but do not guarantee that the information is error-free or current. The website content, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of Great Oak Roofing and protected by copyright laws.

10. Changes to Terms

Great Oak Roofing reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services following any changes indicates your acceptance of the modified Terms.
